Gina is a true Calaveras County local, having lived in the area for nearly fifty years. She grew up in Murphys, attended local schools, and spent decades working in her family’s restaurants—experiences that shaped her deep connection to the community.
Four years ago, she joined the Arnold Library as a branch assistant and quickly discovered a passion for library service.
Her commitment to learning led her back to school, and she will complete her Master’s in Library and Information Sciences in May. Gina is thrilled to step into the role of Branch Assistant in Murphys and looks forward to supporting patrons, strengthening local programs, and continuing to serve the community she has always called home.

Kristine is originally from the Chicago area and moved to the community in 2024. She quickly fell in love with the pace of life here. She and her boyfriend are avid readers and enthusiastic travelers, always planning their next book or their next trip. At home, their 90‑pound Australian shepherd, Ted, keeps a close eye on the deer, turkeys, frogs, and other backyard visitors who wander through.
Mystery is her favorite genre, though she has a soft spot for Daniel Silva’s Gabriel Allon series and Zorba the Greek by Nikos Kazantzakis. Whether she's discovering a new author or revisiting a classic, Kristine loves helping patrons find stories that spark curiosity and joy.
